The Massanutten race organization did a fabulous job of putting on the race. The course was changed a couple years ago to use a new start/finish location, and I'm a big fan. It's central to the whole course and easy to access, especially in later parts of the race. We slept in cabin bunks just up the hill from the race tent, and it was super easy to get back and forth to the race happenings (especially with Kathy driving me back and forth after the race was over!).
The pit crew on race morning - you can't even tell that it's 3:30 am and no one has had coffee yet:
The wonderful tent that kept everyone dry before and after the race:

All smiles because it's easy so far :)
The race photographer, Aaron Schwartzbard, even caught us taking our crew photo!
Next up - actual commentary about the race itself (i.e. a lower photo-to-text ratio post)
