Some interesting statistics for racers who were signed up for both the Pikes Peak Ascent and Marathon:
183 runners signed up
60 completed the double (up to 123 were turned around during the Ascent)
61 were signed for the double but did not run on Sunday
62 did not finish the Ascent but DID finish the Marathon
Out of those 62 runners in the last category, TWO ended up beating me in the Marathon:
Andy Hughes 6:28 marathon
Nichole Keller 6:15 marathon
(my time was 6:34)
So I didn't hit my "adjusted goal" but it sure was fun trying!
