Shenandoah National Park

John and I flew down to DC last Thursday and got to spend the day Friday exploring a bit of Shenandoah National Park with our friend Kathy. It was a nice break from race preparations (with the Massanutten 100 starting at 4 am the next morning). We even got some views off and on in between the fog and clouds.

A little pre-race yoga:

It was a beautiful drive, even though we had time only for a portion of the whole thing:

Sun!

Not sun!

And I got to use my National Parks pass, always a plus. A beautiful drive, maybe we'll go back someday and hike part of the AT along there, that would be cool.
